FUR FARMING (No. 2)

Early day motion 704, tabled 9 June 1999 by Mike Hancock (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 50 members.

That this House congratulates the honourable Member for Liverpool, Garston on her recent Fur Farming (Prohibition) Bill; recognises that a significant number of honourable Members and a large proportion of the general public back a ban on this cruel, barbaric and unnecessary activity; is appalled that just a handful of honourable Members can block a Bill that has such widespread support; and calls on the Government to introduce its own legislation to ban fur farming as soon as possible.

Signatures by party: Labour 38, Liberal Democrat 10, Labour/Co-operative 2.
