EUROTUNNEL FIRE SAFETY

Early day motion 180, tabled 26 June 1997 by Gwyn Prosser (Labour). Signed by 39 members.

That this House shares the concern of the fire specialists, the FBU and the Kent fire authorities that open lattice goods wagons used by Eurotunnel are potentially dangerous and could lead to loss of life; and calls upon the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions to ensure that Eurotunnel carefully study the options for enclosing the wagons and produce a public report on such studies.
