KENT SCHOOLS CAPITAL MORATORIUM

Early day motion 171, tabled 25 June 1997 by Derek Wyatt (Labour). Signed by 19 members.

That this House condemns the Conservative controlled Kent County Council for announcing a moratorium on capital expenditure as it relates to the 1997-98 schools budget; and notes that this immediately impacts on Swanscombe School for which approval had already been given and has a knock-on effect to a further 300 projects in schools in the county.
