BBC RADIO FARMING OUTPUT

Early day motion 119, tabled 16 June 1997 by Charles Kennedy (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 53 members.

That this House is deeply concerned by reports that the BBC is considering changes to its farming programmes; pays particular tribute to the long-standing credibility of Radio 4's Farming Today; recognises the invaluable support and informative services which farming programmes generally provide for our rural communities and their representatives; and believes that they should be retained in their present slots.

Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 23, Labour 20, Conservative 4, Plaid Cymru 3, Labour/Co-operative 2, Scottish National Party 1.
