SALE OF LAND BY LONDON DOCKLANDS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
Early day motion 17, tabled 14 May 1997 by Baroness King of Bow (Labour). Signed by 144 members.
That this House is shocked to learn that the London Docklands Development Corporation has unconditionally sold land planned for use by the Civilians Remembered Campaign, in the face of staunch local opposition, to the luxury flat developers Berkeley Homes; and supports the campaign to secure the Hermitage Riverside for a memorial park that will honour and acknowledge the sacrifice of London's civilian population during the Second World War.
