BBC FIVE LIVE PROGRAMMING
Early day motion 1002, tabled 10 November 1999 by Stephen Hepburn (Labour). Signed by 1 member.
That this House laments the demise of BBC Five Live's cutting edge satirical news programme The Treatment; fears Saturday lunch times for many listeners will feel empty after the disappearance of Derek 'Robbo' Robson's measured analysis of sporting matters: will miss Stuart Maconie's chairmanship of a programme that has become essential listening for Cabinet ministers and cabbies alike; and urges the BBC to reconsider its decision to end The Treatment.
