BUS SERVICES AT OWLCOTES SHOPPING CENTRE

Early day motion 658, tabled 19 January 1998 by Paul Truswell (Labour). Signed by 17 members.

That this House views with dismay the decision of Asda and Marks and Spencer suddenly to withdraw all four free and subsidised bus services operating at the Owlcotes Shopping Centre, Pudsey; recognises the clear need and demand for such services; notes the large profits generated by these stores and the environmental consequences of their location; and calls upon the management to restore a reasonable level of bus service to those who rely on it.
