ACCESS TO MARINE SAFETY REPORTS

Early day motion 657, tabled 19 January 1998 by Mike Hancock (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 22 members.

That this House notes with dismay reports that passengers on the 'Pride of Bilbao' sailing from Portsmouth to Spain on 3rd January will have to wait 30 years to discover the details of the official investigation into the stormy voyage carried out by the Marine Safety Agency; and urges the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions to release the full report for public examination immediately.
