EUROPEAN REGIONAL AID AND HER MAJESTY'S OPPOSITION
Early day motion 494, tabled 25 November 1997 by Jeff Ennis (Labour). Signed by 26 members.
That this House deplores the fact that at the recent Adjournment Debate on European regional aid not one honourable Member of Her Majesty's Opposition was present; notes that the continuation of European regional aid is vital to the future regeneration and well-being of many of the UK's former traditional industrial areas; and particularly condemns the absence of the Shadow President of the Board of Trade and his team as a damning indictment of their disdain for these neglected areas.
