EXPOSURE TO ORGANO-PHOSPHATES AND OTHER DANGEROUS CHEMICALS
Early day motion 454, tabled 13 November 1997 by Peter Brand (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 64 members.
That this House believes that exposure to harmful chemicals, including organophosphates, is a serious hazard to health; notes that there is currently a lack of information on the occurrence and effects of injuries and illnesses resulting from such exposure; and therefore calls upon the Government to make any accidental exposure to chemicals which results in admission to hospital or consultation with a doctor a notifiable event and to empower the Health and Safety Executive to examine the medical records of any person who suffers such exposure with the permission of the patient.
