HOUSEBUILDING AND THE ENTERPRISE INVESTMENT SCHEME

Early day motion 874, tabled 3 March 1998 by Barry Gardiner (Labour). Signed by 18 members.

That this House recognises the valuable role which the Enterprise Investment Scheme plays in raising capital for house building and development, particularly notes that small companies do not possess the resources to participate in private finance initiatives; congratulates Mizen Design from Brent for submitting a bid to the scheme; and welcomes the oportunity this will create to boost jobs at good wage levels but at less cost than many other employment initiatives.
