RAILTRACK

Early day motion 1162A1, tabled 7 April 1998 by Peter Luff (Conservative). Signed by 2 members.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'noting the significant increase in rail travel that has taken place since privatisation, congratulates Railtrack on the publication of its Network Management Strategy which makes forecasts of investment in the rail network of a scale and with details that would have been unthinkable under public ownership; and particularly welcomes the individual route strategies in the document, including that for the Cotswold Line Camden Station and to work with the user group, the Cotswold Line Promotion Group, demonstrating an accountability to rail users that was often lacking in the old nationalised British Rail.'.
