DEGENERATIVE TERMINAL DISEASES AND DLA RE-ASSESSMENTS

Early day motion 1176, tabled 31 March 1998 by Adrian Sanders (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 37 members.

That this House notes that Huntingdon's disease is a degenerative and terminal disease and that the DLA re-assessment process is singularly unsuitable for those suffering from it and similar conditions; and calls upon the Government to exempt sufferers of degenerative and terminal diseases from the DLA re-assessment process unless a re-assessment is requested by the DLA recipient or their carer.
