WORK OF THE COALFIELD TASK FORCE

Early day motion 1454, tabled 22 June 1998 by Jeff Ennis (Labour). Signed by 49 members.

That this House congratulates the Coalfield Task Force on its excellent report entitled Making the Difference: A New Start for England's Coalfield Communities; and looks forward to the Government giving very serious consideration to implementing many if not all the recommendations contained within the report, in order to regenerate this country's coalfield areas, which were so badly neglected by the previous Tory administration.

Signatures by party: Labour 44, Labour/Co-operative 3, Liberal Democrat 2.
