NATIONAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM

Early day motion 1428, tabled 15 June 1998 by Tom Brake (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 35 members.

That this House opposes plans to privatise the National Air Traffic Control system; expresses concern that privatisation might affect safety standards and make the unified control of military and civilian flights more complex; seeks reassurances from the Government that no further delays to the introduction of the replacement air traffic control system in Swanwick will occur as a result of the Government's announcement; and calls on the Government to reconsider its proposals.
