CONDUCT OF THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR EDINBURGH SOUTH (No. 3)
Early day motion 1590, tabled 22 July 1998 by Lord Hamilton of Epsom (Conservative). Signed by 44 members.
That this House deplores recent public criticisms made by the honourable Member for Edinburgh South of civil servants in the Department of Trade and Industry; calls upon the President of the Board of Trade to censure him publicly and to denounce his remarks; and dissociates itself from his brash and ill-informed remarks that 'when it comes to performance as a Minister, I'm rated as one of the best in the House'.
Signatures by party: Conservative 44.
