CONDUCT OF THE RIGHT HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR WOKINGHAM (No. 5)

Early day motion 1511, tabled 2 July 1998 by Kerry Pollard (Labour). Signed by 17 members.

That this House expresses its concern that the Opposition spokesperson for Trade and Industry has allowed himself to enter into a relationship with a company, Murray Financial Corporation, that seeks to limit choice within the financial services market by taking over building societies; believes that by so doing a serious conflict of interest has arisen, in that the Department of Trade and Industry has responsibility for competition policy; and calls upon the Right honourable Member to consider his position.

Signatures by party: Labour 14, Liberal Democrat 2, Labour/Co-operative 1.
