Christopher Chope (Conservative, Christchurch)

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. I am rather concerned that the Public Sector Buildings (Energy Performance) Bill was not moved. I have received a lot of correspondence asking me—pleading with me, indeed—not to object to that Bill. Now it has not even been moved today. I fear that an enormous amount of energy has been wasted in that connection.

Michael Lord (Deputy Speaker, Central Suffolk and North Ipswich)

Whether Bills are moved or not is a matter entirely for the Members in charge; it is certainly not a matter for the Chair.
